Man Finds Greater Happiness, Productivity With Remote Job

Being happy at your job is an essential element to your success. And while we can often get that satisfaction from performing our jobs to the best of our ability, it’s also important to feel that our employer respects and appreciates our efforts.

Sometimes, though, no matter how well we perform or how much we love our jobs, our employer isn’t as supportive as we want. That’s how Matthew K. felt about his situation. Looking at the Records

Like many, Matthew wanted to connect with a remote job because of the pandemic. However, the pandemic wasn’t his only motivation to start a job search. “I was in a toxic work environment,” Matthew explains. “I was looking for organizations that had proven track records of good treatment of their employees.”

In addition to being treated respectfully, Matthew has also found the work-life balance he never knew he was missing. “Because I’m no longer commuting, I’m spending more time at home with my family. I can cook dinner every night. And I am also able to see friends on weekdays because, at the end of the day, I can head right out to meet them or have them come over sooner.”

Matthew has also discovered that working remotely makes him a more productive employee. He’s able to focus and get so much more done. “I am more efficient with my time because I do not have as much idle ‘watercooler’ talk throughout the day.”
