Like many, Matthew wanted to connect with a remote job because of the pandemic. In addition to being treated respectfully, Matthew has also found the work-life balance he never knew he was missing. “Because I’m no longer commuting, I’m spending more time at home with my family. I can cook dinner every night. And I am also able to see friends on weekdays because, at the end of the day, I can head right out to meet them or have them come over sooner.”
Matthew has also discovered that working remotely makes him a more productive employee. He’s able to focus and get so much more done. “I am more efficient with my time because I do not have as much idle ‘watercooler’ talk throughout the day.”
